We went to the Restaurant du Moulin in Val Jalbert two evenings in a row during our two-night stay on site in house accommodation. The restaurant is located on the site of the old factory, right next to the majestic waterfall, and therefore in an enchanting site. The restaurant is not very big but it is super beautiful, well integrated into the history of the site in my opinion. There is also a room intended for groups next to the main room. For the restaurant itself. We had a high-level dining experience. We often go to famous restaurants when on vacation and this one has nothing to envy of many of them. From starter to dessert, all dishes, both evenings, were excellent. Big favorite with the giant scallops on tagliatelle with mushrooms. Incredible pasta. The extra half lobster tail was just wow. Several Gaspesie restaurants should come and learn the ideal cooking that we apply here. The grilled dish was excellent. The sauce really good. The trout fillet and osso buco were also very good. All the different starters we tried were as good as each other. In addition to the quality of the dishes, the service offered by Caroline on the first evening as well as by Marek on the second evening was impeccable. Courteous, unparalleled and fast service. The very example of the service that such a restaurant should provide. A big thank you to the kitchen team for the excellence of the dishes. Definitely one of the good restaurants that I have visited and that I will revisit when I am in the area again. Well done to the whole team.

I ordered the sandwich, soup, and drink combo. Loved the chicken sandwich wrap! The carrot soup was very hot and yummy as well. They only serve until 2:30pm for lunch, and I’m glad that I got a little bite before continuing the journey. Very clean bistro with friendly and polite service!

I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant du Moulin in Val-Jalbert and I am happy to say that it was an exceptional experience. The wine chosen was the Barolo Fontanafredda, it was a perfect choice to accompany my plate of cheeses and sweet fruits. There was a wonderful variety of cheeses, each with its own flavor and texture, accompanied by fresh, sweet fruits that complimented the cheeses perfectly. For the main course, I chose a beautifully cooked filet mignon and served with a bottle of Osoyos Larose. The wine was rich and full-bodied, with notes of dark fruit and vanilla, which paired perfectly with the juicy and flavorful steak. The steak came with a beautiful presentation of seasonal vegetables which were cooked to perfection. At the end of the meal, I chose a trio of creme brulee for dessert, and I also tried the chocolate fondant. The desserts were perfectly prepared, each creme brulee a different flavor, each creamy and light with a crispy crust. The chocolate fondant was incredibly rich and flavorful, with an intense fondant center. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, with a warm and comfortable ambiance. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic, making it a perfect choice for an evening with your loved ones. The service was also exceptional, with courteous and knowledgeable staff helping you make the right food and drink choices. Overall, Restaurant du Moulin in Val-Jalbert is highly recommended for food lovers. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy fine dining with a variety of wonderful wines to accompany your dishes, then this is the restaurant for you. Immersed in a calm and authentic setting, this culinary experience is a must. David Elliott Claveau

Service is perfect, setting is cozy and charming, and the food is by far the best within a 100 miles radius. It's the only gastronomic restaurant in the area and a welcome break from all the "cantine" fried options around. P.s. the breakfast was incredible too! Just look at the pictures!
